For those who don't know, The Bechdel Test, or the Bechdel-Wallace test, is a measurement of women's existence and agency in storytelling. To pass the test, a work must have 1.) at least two women, who, 2.) have a conversation with each other, about 3.) something other than a man. Some versions of the test require that the women have names. The concept was coined in 1985 by cartoonist Alison Bechdel.
